Preparing the Meal Together

After shopping, you drive back to the family home to begin preparing the meal. You peel potatoes, prepare bananas, chop vegetables, sort beans, and learn traditional cooking techniques practiced in many Rwandan homes. Cooking together creates connection, conversation, and joyful memories, The cooking is done using charcoal stoves and the well-known three-stone fireplace, still used widely across Rwanda.
